SAFETY

At Geocadinal, Health Safety and Environment are regarded as key aspects of our business operations. We continue to strive towards a healthier and safer environment for all our employees and the communities in which we operate.

The Management is committed to doing this by ensuring that HSE are an integral part of our operations and by encouraging our personnel to develop a keen awareness of desired HSE for human life, protection of environment and property. GISL monitors trends and changes that might affect its risk profile while our environmental assessments are carried out in accordance with international standard.

We also believe and have consistently demonstrated that safety is a mechanism that can lead to increased productivity and reliability.

GISL is aware of the full implications of the nature of the work involved and the work environment.  GISL shall necessarily put in place all pertinent precautions and safeguards as demanded by the normal codes of practice in consonance with industry standards.

Efforts shall be put in place to ensure that no mishaps or accidents occur in our work places.

GISL safety officer shall be available at all times to guarantee that this objective is achieved.

The required safety measures will include but not limited to the following:

  1. Provision of adequate warning signs and other safety awareness facilities.
  2. Adequate provision of safety gadgets for the working crew e.g. welding visors, goggles, hard hats, safety shoes, coveralls, etc.
  3. Ensure only pre-mobbed equipment are used.
  4. Staff shall be medically tested and certified fit before they proceed for any operation.
  5. Job Hazard analysis shall be approved and adequately understood before commencement of any work.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The company has put in place a pool of highly competent QA/QC department manned by a senior QA/QC Officer that carries out checks on all the data acquire from the field, during office processing and the final product.  All field sheets and field data are to be signed by the QA/QC officer who also carries out the check to ensure that all data are error free.

An Inspection / Quality Control Officer shall at all stages be present to ensure that the appropriate standards of quality are achieved and that tests are duly conducted where and when necessary.

GISL will not compromise quality at any stage of her project execution.

Pre-commissioning test will be carried out at every completed stage of the work.

 

  • Quality is line management responsibility thus line managers and Qa/Qc reps shall show full commitment to total quality line management process
  • This quality policy is applicable to all staff, contractors and third parties involve in GISL operations.
  • Company’s quality management system focuses on prevention rather than correction with an aim of doing it right at first.
  • GISL trains its employees for efficient performance of individual quality responsibilities to full potentials.
  • Quality is a continuous improvement process and every employee is encouraged to actively participate in this process through high effective communication system.
  • Effective control mechanisms, including audits and reviews, are established to objectively evaluate the adequacy of the company’s quality system and its implementation through all company’s activities
