ENVIRONMENT
In Geocadinal,
Health Safety and Environment are regarded as key
aspects of our business
operation. We continue to strive towards a healthier
and safer environment for all our employees and the
communities in which we operate.
The Management is committed to
doing this by ensuring that HSE are an integral part
of our operations and by encouraging our personnel
to develop a keen awareness of desired HSE for human
life, protection of environment and property.
Westfield Energy monitors trends and changes that
might affect its risk profile. Environment
assessments are carried out in accordance with
international standard.
We also believe and have
consistently demonstrated that safety is a mechanism
that can lead to increased productivity and
reliability.
GEOCADINAL is aware of the full
implications of the nature of the work involved and
the work environment. GEOCADINAL shall necessarily
put in place all pertinent precautions and
safeguards as demanded by the normal codes of
practice for this nature of work.
Every due care shall be
exercised to ensure that no mishaps or accidents
occur and that a safety officer shall be available
at all times to guarantee this objective is
achieved.
The required safety measures
will include but not limited to the following:
1. Provision of
adequate warning signs and other safety awareness
facilities.
2. Adequate provision
of safety gadgets for the working crew e.g. welding
visors, goggles, har
d hats, safety shoes, coveralls,
etc.
3. Ensure only
pre-mobbed equipment are used.
4. Staff shall be
medically tested and certified fit before use.
5. Job Hazard analysis
shall be produced and approved before commencement
of work.
6. Record of CASHES
statistics of personnel exposed man-hour for the
week and month.
7. Recording of total
MHR, lost due to MTC, FAC and LTI.
8. Last LTI and total
free MHR for the week and month will be properly
recorded.
9. Safety tape will be
use to demarcate the work area.
It should be noted however,
that no fatality has been recorded since the
inception of the company.
COMMUNITY AFFAIRS, SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND
SECURITY (CASHES) POLICY.
This will be treated as in our
CASHES Policy. It is GEOCADINAL policy that all
activities are planned and executed in a manner
that:
1. Preserve the health,
safety and security of employees, the employees of
GEOCADINAL, contractors and all members of the
public who may be affected by GEOCADINAL operations.
2. Minimise the impact
of its operations on the environment.
3. it’s sensitive to
the needs and concerns of GEOCADINAL host
communities.
Every employee-direct or
otherwise-shall plan and perform his or her work in
accordance with this policy. Any activity, which,
in the opinion of the employee, cannot be carried
out in accordance with the policy, must be suspended
and reported immediately to GEOCADINAL supervisor.
