HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT POLICY STATEMENT

The Health and Safety at Work etc., Act 5.2 (3) (HASAWA), 1958 stipulates that; “it shall be the duty of every employer to prepare as often as may be appropriate, revise and issue a written statement of its general policy in respect to the Health and Safety at work. For the Health, Safety and Environment of the employees and the organization, and bring any revision at it to the above

GEOCADINAL INTEGRATED SERVICES LIMITED:

  • has a system approach to HSE management designed to ensure compliance with the law and to achieve continuous performance improvement
  • set targets for improvement and measures, appraises and reports performance
  • requires its sub-contractors to manage HSE in line with this policy
  • includes HSE performance in the appraisal of all staff and rewards accordingly.

It is our policy to provide and maintain a safe working environment for our employees, who are our most valued assets. The safety of our employee is our utmost priority and all safety equipment must be provided before any job is carried out.

 

All staff of GEOCADINAL INTEGRATED SERVICES LIMITED shall be medically fit. We shall maintain an insurance against any liability that may result in case of any personnel suffering occupational disease or any impairment to health resulting from our operation. The company’s retained clinic shall handle all routine medical and emergency cases.

 

As an essential part of the overall company’s management, GEOCADINAL INTEGRATED SERVICES LIMITED takes responsibility of security of all

personnel, Client’s representative and third party in all our work sites and premises.

 

In carrying out our operations, GEOCADINAL INTEGRATED SERVICES LIMITED shall plan and execute it in such a manner as to eliminate adverse effects or impact on the environment. Our operations shall be essentially environmental friendly.

GEOCADINAL INTEGRATED SERVICES LIMITED shall identify with the needs and aspirations of his/her clients and the host communities in the execution of its operation. We shall liaise with clients, host community, relevant government departments and others to ensure safe and peaceful working environment.

Harmonious relationship shall be maintained with client and community. Where there are conflicts, peaceful dialogue shall be employed to resolve areas of disagreement.

Strict adherence to these policies is required.

QUALITY ASSURANCE POLICY STATEMENT

Quality of products and services shall continue to remain our vital concern in the activities of Geocadinal Integrated Services Limited. and shall form the hub around which our services to various clients and the public at large resolves. In this direction, our policy shall be geared towards:

 

  1. Ensuring that our engineering products and services comply with all relevant industry codes and standards, statutory regulations and Client’s products specifications.

 

  1. Ensuring full implementation of Clients/Vendors’ engineering data that will satisfy the technical requirements lay down by the clients in terms of performance, reliability and safety. To this effect, work on client’s facility shall not commence until there is a valid approval for construction (A.F.C.) Drawings.

 

  1. Ensuring satisfactory construction results in line with Clients’/Vendors’ design studies. This entails an application of appropriate engineering data for supplies, constructions, assembling and inspections at every stage of the works, before commissioning/property transfer to the Client.

 

  1. Ensuring that various revised industry codes and standards are readily available in-house to facilitate easy references. These shall include but not limited to the ones published by the following bodies on engineering subjects: ASME/ANSI, API, AWA, BS, IEC, ICE, ICI and NSO. Clients’ in-house standard practices shall be maintained.

 

  1. Establishing a system of Quality Control Audit Vis-à-vis non-conformity data collection and statistic processing with a view to reduce to the barest minimum, the frequency of non-conformities in our products.

 

  1. Investigating all operational non-conformities promptly in order to unearth the deficiencies arising, correct and prevent future reoccurrence.

 

  1. Preventing all cases of “Failure in service” by a consistent approach towards quality assurance and re-assurance at every stage of contract implementation.

 

  1. Establishing a well-defined quality assurance control procedures, plans and personnel roles and functions and ensuring that these are adequately communicated to all levels in the organisation.

 

  1. Ensuring that for every contract, QA records are readily available for easy reference at all times. Also, a complete dossier of As-Built file comprising AFC’s, materials and inspection certificates, provisional and final acceptance certificates etc. shall be maintained and issued to the client at the end of contract.

 

  1. Encouraging employees who excel in helping to meet the company’s QA objectives through periodic incentives.

The QA/QC management has the support of the company’s management to implement the measures and objectives contained in this manual and specific project quality plans. It shall act independently from other departments with the QA/QC co-ordinator as the head and reporting to the management of the company.

It is recognised that achievements of a satisfactory standard of quality is the responsibility of all personnel assigned to work and not solely that of QA/QC personnel. Therefore, it is mandatory for all Geocadinal Integrated Services Limited. personnel to adhere to the requirements set out in this manual and other related QA/QC documents.

Daily Toolbox Meetings: AT Geocadinal Integrated Services Limited, it is mandatory affairs to conduct a toolbox meeting before commencing any particular work whether in offshore, on-shore, or even office activities.

Our concern is the safety of both lives and equipment while ensuring that the best services are rendered.

SAFTY DRILL:

We are compliant to every Safety Drill: At site, offshore or in the office, our personnel are responsive to every drill as the facility owners deems fit. Therefore, safety for one is safety for all and we usually record zero incident at any job.

Emergency Response Management for Project Phases

Owing to the nature of our projects, there may be several emergency situations, which could require contingency planning at both Project and Worksite levels. GISL had structured Emergency Response Procedures which shall apply in any emergency scenarios at both Project and Worksite levels.

Sub-contractors shall be required as a minimum to have their own Emergency Response Plans, and shall submit a copy of the document our GISL Emergency Response Team for verification of effectiveness and approval prior to mobilization to worksites and subsequent work commencement

Use of Seat Belt:

Use of Seat Belt: It is a mandatory practice at Geocadinal Integrated Services Limited and as a policy to all her drivers, staff and visitors to always put on their seat belt while driving or seated on the vehicle. Thus, a visitor is not allowed entry to the company’s premises without the use of seat belt.

Emergency Response Team (ERT) /Action

In compliant with the emergency regulations, Geocadinal Integrated Services Limited appointed a fire marshal who ensures that at all times, he/she alert the Emergency Response Team that will activate appropriate management of the scenario. Necessary action(s) shall immediately apply. In the event of Fire or Emergency and the need to evacuate the premises or work area all personnel on site shall muster at designated Assembly Point and await further instructions.

Emergency Response:

The appointed Fire Marshal shall alert the Emergency Response Team which will activate appropriate management of the scenario. Other actions as illustrated in the Emergency Response Procedure Flow Chart above shall apply. In the event of Fire or Emergency and the need to evacuate the premises or work area all personnel on site shall muster at designated Assembly Point and await instructions.

Fire Drills

At least once a month a practice fire drill shall be carried out to prepare project personnel against any eventuality. A report of all such drills shall be maintained by the Project HSE Coordinator.
